How To Double Your Fitness Business (Without Working More Hours)
Think back to the beginning of 2026.
How much have you learnt about growing your fitness business this year? How many podcasts have you listened to, courses have you bought or new strategies have you implemented?
Now ask yourself something. How much has actually changed in your business and your life as a result?
Have you grown your business? Are you attracting more clients consistently? Do you have more freedom, more time with your family and less stress?
Or are you still sitting at roughly the same income, working just as hard and wondering what you need to do differently?
Because there’s a BIG difference between learning how to grow a business and actually growing one.
Knowing More Doesn’t Always Mean Growing More
I’ve spent 25+ years in the fitness industry, worked with more than 2,000 businesses and seen what happens at every stage of growth, from women starting at $0 to businesses generating over $1 million a year.
And one thing I’ve learnt is that most established fitness business owners don’t need more information.
They already know about marketing, lead generation, offers, sales and systems. They’ve invested in courses, worked with coaches and tried different strategies.
But knowing a million different ways to grow your business doesn’t help much when you don’t know which ONE your business actually needs right now.
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to be doing, so why am I not making more money?”
I’ve heard this so many times.
They’re implementing the strategies, showing up, putting in the hours and doing what they’ve been taught, but their income isn’t reflecting the effort they’re putting in.
And when that happens, it’s easy to assume you need to learn something else.
But what if you don’t?
What If You’re Working on the Wrong Problem?
This is where having someone look at your business from the outside can make a HUGE difference.
Because knowing HOW to grow a business and understanding what YOUR business needs to grow are two very different things.
My favourite part is getting inside a business, working out what’s really going on and helping the owner see what needs to change.
Not giving her another 20 things to do, but being able to say:
“Here’s what I’d change. Here’s why. And here’s what I’d focus on first.”
And then guiding her as she puts those changes into practice, because what your business needs today might be completely different from what it needs three months from now.
The goal isn’t to keep adding more things to your to-do list.
It’s to make sure the work you’re doing is actually moving your business forward.
Don’t Wait Until January to Change What’s Not Working
Which brings me to something very important.
If you want 2027 to be your biggest year yet, don’t wait until January to start doing something about it.
Because the results you want in January aren’t going to magically appear because you’ve bought a new planner, set some goals or decided that THIS is going to be your year.
They’re going to be the result of the decisions you’re making, the actions you’re taking and the things you’re changing in your business RIGHT NOW.
And if you’ve spent the last nine months learning more but not seeing the changes you want, what makes you think another three months of doing the same things will give you a different result?
You don’t need to wait for a new year to start making better decisions about your business.
You need to work out what’s actually keeping you at the same level and start changing it.
